What you will create
An ideal podcast audience profile
A research prompt and show-selection scorecard
Three interview topics connected to your expertise
A personalized guest pitch and concise bio
A listener call to action and landing-page outline
An opportunity tracker
A post-interview promotion and follow-up sequence
A 30-day implementation plan
Create your strategy and draft assets during class. Research, bookings, episode publication and lead generation happen over time; none is a guaranteed workshop outcome.
Who this is for
You do not need your own podcast, a large following or previous guest experience. Bring a clear area of expertise and an offer or resource that could help your intended audience.
The podcast-to-lead process
Audience fit matters more than chasing download numbers alone. Hosts and booking contacts are not listener leads. Referral partners are relationships to nurture; listeners become contacts only when they voluntarily request a resource or reach out. You do not receive private listener lists or automatically identify individual listeners.
Curriculum
Module 1
Define audience fit, relevant topics, recent show activity and guest suitability. Check the show website and recent episodes; verify AI research before acting on it.
Module 2
Create three interview angles that address a listener problem and connect naturally to your expertise. Lead with practical value, not a sales presentation.
Module 3
Draft a concise pitch explaining why your topic fits this specific show. Reference a real episode you reviewed and use accurate credentials—never invented familiarity.
Module 4
Choose one useful resource, landing page or invitation. Write a short spoken call to action, then confirm it follows the host’s guidelines.
Module 5
Track research, pitches, replies, bookings, recording dates, publication dates and next actions. Keep hosts, referral partners and opted-in listeners distinct.
Module 6
Plan authorized video concepts, social posts and emails. Follow the host’s usage terms and measure opt-ins, inquiries and qualified conversations only where attribution is available.

Fictional examples · Not customer results
A fictional operations consultant reviews a small-business podcast’s recent episodes and audience description. They prioritize a show discussing team systems over an unrelated show with a larger following.
A fictional business owner proposes “Three ways to make a customer handoff less confusing,” with practical examples drawn from their actual experience—not an interview about how great their company is.
A fictional guest invites interested listeners to a relevant checklist on a simple landing page. Only listeners who voluntarily submit their details enter the follow-up process.
With written permission and the host’s usage terms, a fictional guest plans a short video concept, a takeaway post and a newsletter summary linking to the episode. These are planning examples, not promised results.
Clips and repurposed materials must follow the host’s permission and usage terms. Follow-up is directed to appropriate contacts or people who opted in.
